Yoga for Athletes Cannock

In 2019 I completed ‘The Science of Teaching Yoga for Athletes’ through The Institute of Yoga Sports Science.

Since I began teaching in 2002 I have attended many Continued Professional Development days. Yoga for athletes and sports people, anatomy and physiology, personal trainer skills, sport related injuries, yoga props to aid injury recovery etc for example. I have been taught by anatomy specialists, Dr’s, physiotherapist, osteopaths and many yoga teachers with a keen interest in sports and injury recovery.

Prior to attending CPD days The British Wheel Teacher’s Diploma I completed addressed ‘Anatomy & Physiology related to Yoga Practice’ thoroughly within Unit 1 (of 4 units).

Also at times I have been quite the ‘anatomy geek’ as some of you know from class. I’m forever researching and forever the student!

Regards the workshops I create and deliver these also include CROSS-TRAINING ‘YOGA FOR ATHLETES’. These workshops include your chosen sport at your chosen venue. SPORT SPECIFIC workshops include yoga for: cyclists; runners; tennis players; footballers; hockey players; golfers; dancers etc. for example. Sport injury shall also be taken into consideration, for example I have taught many runners and addressed many issues that become apparent from this sport.

See Workshops/News section for ‘Micro-sequences for Sports People & Athletes’ Workshop.

I have also wrote articles regards Yoga for Mountain-bikers. See ‘Articles’ section for an example. For full article, including photographs, see F/bk Yoga for Athletes Cannock.

Look forward to delivering these workshops at mine and/or your chosen venue!
